BUCKETLIST VIDEO #4! AJ Hackett's Nevis Bungy

Hey guys! Here it is, finally my 4th Bucketlist video!

So when I travel, I don't ever really have a plan. I just go with the flow, and if we see something cool, we check it out. That's kinda what Alex and I were doing when we ended up in Queenstown, NZ, which is known as the Adventure Capitol of the world.

We heard about AJ Hackett's Nevis Bungy, with 8sec free fall over 134 m and just had to do it. I'd done a small bungy before, but it's dwarfed in comparison to the Nevis. Nothing could have prepared me for that crazy tingling feeling I got in the tips of my toes that shot straight up my spine as I stood up on that platform. The platform is like a little box, that's extended over the canyon by these little cables. You take a small little gondola out to the platform, and drop you off. The whole time I was out there, I was completely stiff. Like clenching. Even with all the loud music, and good banter from the crew, I was on edge, literally.

On the platform, they have a section of glass bottom, so you can see the bungy jumper below you, but also so you can see the ground 134 beneath you! It was terrifying! So when you get out to the box, they put you in a chair, and hook you up to a weight, and the bungies, take a bunch of pictures, yaddie yada. Then they walk you out to the edge, drop the weight over the edge, take a couple more pictures, then off you go!

In hindsight, I think the most terrifying part of the whole experience wasn't the actual jump itself. It was the moment that they bring you out to the edge of this tiny little platform, AND DROP THE WEIGHT OVER THE LEDGE WITHOUT TELLING YOU ANYTHING! That's the scariest thing ever! When they drop the weight over, it tugs on your whole body, so you feel like you're just tumbling over. And I wasn't ready for a drop, I mean, I knew I was jumping, but I was expecting like a countdown or something! What I didn't know, was that he was actually holding the back of my harness, so I wasn't going anywhere.

So if you guys watched my last video, you'll know that I did this a mere 3 days after my belly flop incident, still with fresh bruises. When you're done with the bungy, you can get pulled up while upside down, or pull a tab, so your feet are released and you can sit upright while they pull you back up. The first jump I did, I decided to remain upside down to avoid having the pressure on my bruises.

Please please please feel free to leave some comments! I'd love to hear what you guys think, and any suggestions you may have for future videos! You guys are amazing!
