Abel Tasman National Park
We did two days of hiking in the Abel Tasman National Park, and they were well worthwhile. The hikes are fairly easy, and the views are unbelievable. The first day of hiking was quite remote. We were in Takaka with Abel Tasman Canyons, and I'll include a whole different post about that day of canyoning, (spoiler: it was epic!).
The day after we went canyoning, we drove into Marahau to catch a water taxi to Torrent Bay. We booked our water taxi at the Nelson i-site, but you can also call the abel tasman centre to book. From Torrent Bay, we walked back to Marahau, and it took us a total of about 6 hours (including the few scenic stops we took to see waterfalls and swim).
